PRIOR TO AKRON: A tight end from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Ognenovic was a four-year letterwinner at Cardinal Gibbons High School...he came to Akron after two years at Kentucky where he saw action in two games as a freshman in 2019, including his first career reception versus Tennessee-Martin...was a three-star prospect by all of the major recruiting experts and considered one of the nation’s top tight ends...caught 11 passes for 170 yards and one touchdown as a senior in helping Cardinal Gibbons win the program’s first state title in Class 5A in 2018...as a junior, caught eight passes for 57 yards and a score.
