2022: Appeared in all 12 games for Akron, including nine starts...recorded 39 tackles, including 22 solo stops and 17 assisted tackles...registered a team-high three interceptions and six pass breakups, while adding 0.5 tackles for a loss and one blocked kick...posted a season-high seven tackles, including four solo stops, versus Miami...recorded a 76-yard interception for a touchdown at Northern Illinois...added interceptions against Saint Francis and Buffalo...blocked a kick at Liberty...tallied 0.5 sack versus Eastern Michigan.
2021: Appeared in all 12 games for the Zips, including a pair of starts...registered 25 tackles on the campaign, including 12 solo stops, while leading the Zips in fumble returns (1) and ranking third in tackles for a loss (2.5)...recorded a four tackles with one tackles for a loss, one sack, a forced fumble, fumble recovery and interception in the Zips’ win at Bowling Green en route to being named the Mid-American Conference East Division Defensive Player of the Week...with the Falcons up 13-7 in the second quarter and driving at the Akron 24-yard line, Durant intercepted a pass at the 12-yard line and returned the ball 17 yards to thwart the scoring drive and allow the Zips to enter the intermission down only six, 13-7, while in the fourth quarter he garnered his first career sack, a 10-yard loss, and in the process stripped the ball before recovering the ball...posted a season-best eight tackles, including a trio of solo stops and a half a sack, at Toledo (Nov. 27)...netted five tackles and a half a sack against Kent State (Nov. 20)...recorded three tackles at No. 10 Ohio State (Sept. 25) and a week later added three more stops versus Ohio (Oct. 2).
2020: Appeared in three games for Akron...recorded one solo tackle at Buffalo (Dec. 12).
PRIOR TO AKRON: Four-year letterwinner at Canton McKinley High School for head coach Marcus Wattley...garnered second-team all-state accolades as a senior...posted 113 career tackles, including 83 solo stops, and collected 15 pass break-ups...finished prep career with 2,100 all-purpose yards and 10 touchdowns...as a senior, finished with 800 all-purpose yards on the offensive side of the ball, including four receptions for 65 yards...recorded four interceptions, eight pass break-ups and two forced fumbles as a senior...four-year letterwinner in basketball and one letter each in baseball and track.
