Richmond, Ky. - The Akron Zips women's golf team posted rounds of 306 (+18) and 302 (+14) en route to sixth place with a 608 (+32) team total while freshman Ivana Shah (Mumbai, India), senior Danielle Nicholson (Geneva, Ohio) and senior Makayla Dull (Fremont, Ohio) all currently rank inside the Top 25 at the Colonel Classic hosted by Eastern Kentucky.

Shah leads the Zips' scoring at the University Club in Arlington is a par-72 course the stretches 5,885 yards. Shah carded 75 (+3) and 70 (-2) scored for a 1-over par 145 two-round total which ranks eighth overall individually. She collected 14 pars and three birdies with one bogey for the 2-under ledger. For the tournament, Shah has 26 par scores, five birdies, four bogeys and a double bogey.

Nicholson and Dull follow with 152 (+8) 36-hole scores to be ranked tied at 25th overall. Nicholson fired rounds of 75 (+3) and 77 (+5) on 16 pars and seven birdies, while Dull recorded 77 (+5) and 75 (+3) scores with 22 pars and three birdies.

Sophomore Abbie Pearce (Green, Ohio) and junior Allyson Wentworth (Stewartsville, N.J.) rounded out the scoring with 80-80 – 160 (+16) and 79-83 – 162 (+18), respectively.

Eastern Kentucky currently leads the team scoring with a 298-286 - 584 (+8) team total, while Northern Illinois is second overall with 287-301 - 588 (+12). Kentucky's Josephine Chang is playing as an individual and leading the player leaderboard, 73-67 - 140 (-4), as EKU's Elsa Moberly and Ohio's Nicole Smiley are tied for second with 141 (-3) scores.

Saturday's final round shotgun start is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. as the Zips will tee off from holes No. 4-7, Shah (4), Nicholson (5b), Dull (5a), Pearce (6), and Wentworth (7).
