Naperville, Ind. – Freshman Ivana Shah (Mumbai, India) led the Akron Zips through the second-round of the Mid-American Conference Tournament with a 1-over par 73 as the Zips cut nine strokes off the score for a 308 (+20) team tally.

Saturday's second round was initially delayed and eventually postponed, forcing the final day to require 36-holes of competition at the Par 72, 6,125-yard Purgatory Golf Club is known for its 130+ bunkers and tall prairie grass rough.

Shah carded 15 par scores with two bogeys and a birdie to enter the final round ranked tied for 10^th overall (+7, 78-73 - 151), while teammate senior Makayla Dull (Fremont, Ohio) is currently tied at 23^rd with a 78-78 - 156 (+12) tournament total.

Sophomore Abbie Pearce (Green, Ohio) followed her opening round 80 (+8) score with a 78 (+6) for a 158 (+14) total, ranking 29^th overall, while senior Danielle Nicholson (Geneva, Ohio) posted 81 and 79 scores for a 160 (+16) and tied for 33^rd.

Rounding out the Zips' scoring is junior Allyson Wentworth (Stewartsville, N.J.) with a pair of 84 rounds to be tied at 48^th with a 168 (+24) ledger.

Kent State moved into the top spot for team scoring with a 10-under team score, finishing with a 278 and a 305-278 – 583 (+7). The Golden Flashes Karoline Stormo currently leads the individual scoring with a 76-65 – 141 (-3) – Stormo's single round score of 65 (-7) stands as a MAC Tournament record.
