Swimming and Diving Hosts the Zippy Invitational Starting Thursday

AKRON, Ohio - The Akron Swimming and Diving team gears for a big week as they host the four-day Zippy Invitational at the Ocasek Natatorium starting Thursday, December 5.
All four days of the Zippy Invitational can be viewed on the Zips Digital Network while stats can be viewed on Meet Mobile.
Buffalo, Clarion, Cornell, Keiser and Oakland will all join the Zips at the Zippy Invitational.
Akron concluded action at the Magnus Cup Invitational with a first-place finish after scoring 1,728.5 points over the three-day event. The Blue and Gold also set four meet records, one school record and one pool record on the final day of competition.
Abigail Daniel and Elizabeth Noble were named the Mid-American Conference Swimmer and Diver of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday, November 27.
Daniel set a school record, two meet records, two pool records and recorded the second fastest time in NCAA in the 100-IM over the three-day Magnus Cup Invitational last week as part of her stellar performance.
She finished first in seven events while placing second in two events and third in one other.
Noble took home three first-place finishes at the Magnus Cup Invitational while earning two zone qualifying scores over the three-day event. Â
