Rio Verde, Ariz. – The Akron Zips women's golf team is back in action on Friday through Sunday, Feb. 23-25 at the Rio Verde White Wing Course in Rio Verde, Ariz. for the 2024 Rio Verde Invitational hosted by Western Michigan.

The two-day, 54-hole tournament showcases a 20-team field including, Western Michigan (Host), Akron, Ball State, Bowling Green, Bradley, Butler, California Baptist, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Evansville, Illinois State, Kennesaw State, Loyola (Ill.), Missouri State, Oakland, Ohio, South Dakota, Utah Tech, Wichita State and Xavier.

The Zips starting five consists of Daphne van Son, Abbi Fleiner, Avery Wright, Jessica Hahn and Hridhika Vora.

The tournament is scheduled a trio of 18-hole rounds starting on Friday, Feb. 23 with a shotgun start at 12 p.m. Saturday's (Feb. 24) second round is scheduled for a 10 a.m. shotgun start followed by Sunday's (Feb. 25) final round shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.

All 54 holes will be played on the 6,024-yard par 72 Rio Verde White Wing Course. Fans can follow the action live at Golf Genius.
