Pawley's Island, S.C. – Sophomore Hridhika Vora Leads Akron Zips Scoring at the 2024 Golfweek/AGT Intercollegiate at the Caledonia Golf & Fish Club (Par 71 – 5,990 yards) on Monday.
Vora fired a 4-over par 75 opening round 18-hole score to lead Akron's scoring efforts. She recorded three birdies and nine par scores to start the tournament. Vora enters the second round of play ranked 31st overall.
Following in scoring for the Zips were sophomore Avery Wright and senior Abbi Fleiner with 77 (+6) and 80 (+9) scores, respectively. Wright registered 14 par scores and a birdie, while Fleiner logged 11 pars and a birdie. Wright and Fleiner are currently ranked 51st and 82nd on the players' leaderboard with 36 holes to be played.
Rounding out the scoring for Akron were senior Jessica Hahn (+11, 82) and freshman Katrin Horn Danielsdottir (+15, 86).
Akron is slated to start the second round on Tuesday, April 2 from the 10th tee box at 8:50 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Danielsdottir will lead the way (8:50) followed by Hahn (9:00), Fleiner (9:10), Wright (9:20) and Vora (9:30).
