Akron Golf Headed to 2024 MAC Championships

AKRON, Ohio – The Akron Zips women's golf team is set to compete for the 2024 Mid-American Conference Women's Golf Championships on Sunday through Tuesday, April 21-23 hosted by Ohio at Pinnacle Club in Grove City, Ohio.
The 2024 MAC women's golf championships is scheduled for 54-holes of competition over the three-day span, starting on Sunday, April 21 at the par 72, 6,201-yard course.
The opening round and Saturday's second round of the MAC season finale are slated for a 9:30 a.m. starts with tee times in 10 minute intervals. Sunday's final round is scheduled for tee times off holes No. 1 and 10 starting at 9 and 9:30 a.m. with 10-minute intervals, respectively. In addition, fans can follow all three rounds of action on ESPN3+ beginning at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday and 12:05 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday. Fans can also follow the action via GolfStat Live Scoring. The 10-team field is headlined by Kent State with a No. 65 GolfStat ranking followed by Northern Illinois (139), Ball State (173), Toledo (185), Bowling Green (192), Western Michigan (197), Akron (205), Ohio (211), Eastern Michigan (224) and Central Michigan (228).
The Zips' starting lineup includes seniors Abbi Fleiner (Reno, Nev.) and Jessica Hahn (Canton, Ohio) followed by junior Daphne van Son (Vlijmen, Netherlands) and sophomores Avery Wright (Jackson, Ohio) and Hridhika Vora (Mumbai, Maharashtra) as well as freshman Katrin Horn Danielsdottir (Reykjavik, Iceland).
