ZIPS NAME TRIO TEAM CAPTAINS FOR 2025:
The Akron senior trio of Noelle Boyd (Murrysville, Pa.), Jaelyn Clinkscales (Rochester, N.Y.) and Bryanne Harner (Friendswood, Texas) will serve as the Zips' captains for the 2025 campaign.

SCOUTING AKRON:
Sophomore Sienna Hinchcliffe (Rochester, Minn.) leads the Zips in goals (40), points (51), shots (98) and shots on goal (73). Noelle Boyd paces the squad in assists (16) and draw controls (60), while ranking third in ground balls (30). Junior Katie Baumer (Rochester, N.Y.) directs the team in caused turnovers (18). Senior goalkeeper Hannah Sanders (Massillon, Ohio) has registered 92 saves and a team-high 32 ground balls.

SCOUTING UMBC:
Akron is meeting UMBC for the first time in program history. The Retrievers enter their showdown with the Zips at 10-2 on the campaign, including 3-1 in the America East Conference, following a 16-12 setback versus UMass Lowell on April 5. Senior Katana Nelson directs UMBC's offensive efforts pacing the squad in goals (48), points (50), shots (112) and shots on goal (81). Redshirt senior goalkeeper Isabella Fontana has collected 58 saves and 19 ground balls on the campaign en route to posting a 10.28 goals against average. UMBC is led by 13th-year head coach Amy Slade, who owns a 103-91 ledger as a head coach for the Retrievers.

Directed by a four-goal performance from Sienna Hinchcliffe, the Akron registered a 14-9 victory over rival Kent State on Sunday (April 6) at InfoCision Stadium-Summa Health Field.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Katie Baumer and junior Heather Carey (Williamsville, N.Y.), Noelle Boyd, Jaelyn Clinkscales and junior Kellen Fletcher (Valencia, Pa.) added three, three, two, one and one goals for the Zips.
• Baumer and Hinchcliffe each recorded three assists for Akron, while Boyd and Clinkscales contributed two and one assist, respectively.
• Hinchcliffe tallied a game-high 12 shots, including nine on goal.
• Boyd led the Zips with a game-high four ground balls, while Baumer garnered a team-best five draw controls.
• Baumer posted a game-high four caused turnovers to go along with an eight-save performance from Hannah Sanders.
