YPSILANTI, Mich. – Eastern Michigan tallied five unanswered goals in the final period to register a come-from-behind 16-12 triumph over the University of Akron lacrosse team on Sunday (April 20).
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Sophomore Sienna Hinchcliffe (Rochester, N.Y.) scored a team-high four goals on the strength of a team-best seven shots, all on goal. Hinchcliffe is now one goal shy of equaling the single-season record for goals of 48 set by Alexis Kiefer during the 2021 campaign.
• Junior Katie Baumer (Rochester, N.Y.) added three goals and a pair of assists for the Zips, while contributing two, two and one goal, respectively, for Akron was redshirt senior Noelle Boyd (Murrysville, Pa), junior Heather Carey (Williamsville, N.Y.) and senior Kylie Harris (Lake Norman, N.C.).
• Tallying a game-high four assists was Boyd, while Baumer dished out a pair of assists and senior Jaelyn Clinkscales (Rochester, N.Y.) recorded one.
• Redshirt senior Antonia Trickett (Cleveland, Ohio) led the Zips with a team-best three ground balls, while Baumer and Hinchcliffe garnered seven and six draw controls, respectively.
• Baumer led Akron with a pair of caused turnovers, while senior goalkeeper Hannah Sanders (Massillon, Ohio) tallied seven saves for the Zips.

Akron hosts Robert Morris on Senior Day on Sunday (April 27) with a 1 p.m. showdown at InfoCision Stadium-Summa Field. A share of the Mid-American Conference regular season title will be on the line with a victory by the Zips.
