Jared Schaeffer Named MAC Pitcher of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Akron junior pitcher Jared Schaeffer was named the Mid-American Conference Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday.
Behind a career-high 12 strikeouts, Schaeffer was close to untouchable in Friday's 2-0 victory over Mercyhurst.
Schaeffer went seven innings while allowing just three hits and no runs in a combined shutout.
