Schaeffer and Schebler Earn All-MAC Awards

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference announced the 2025 baseball All-Conference awards on Tuesday, May 20, with a pair of Zips earning All-MAC honors.
Pitcher Jared Schaeffer was named to the All-MAC Second Team and All-MAC Defensive Team while infielder Charlie Schebler was also named to the All-MAC Defensive Team.
Schaeffer, who was named to the All-MAC First Team last season, led the MAC in innings pitched (85.0) and was second in strikeouts (79). He made 14 starts and threw one complete game while holding opposing hitters to a .262 average. Over those 14 starts, he threw seven or more innings in seven games. Schaeffer also added 23 assists, two putouts and helped throw out three base runners while holding a perfect fielding percentage.
Schebler, who made 42 appearances and 41 starts in the field, recorded 91 assists, 60 putouts and helped turn 14 double plays as the primary second baseman for the Zips.
At the plate, Schebler recorded 32 hits, 20 runs, four doubles, two home runs, 27 RBI, 18 walks and one stolen base.
