Jared Schaeffer Named a Finalist for the 2025 ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Akron Zips pitcher Jared Schaeffer was named a finalist for the 2025 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. I Gold Glove team on Monday, June 16.
Schaeffer finished the 2025 season with a perfect fielding percentage while recording 23 assists and assisted in throwing out three base runners. Named to the All-MAC Second Team and All-MAC Defensive Team in 2025, Schaeffer also led the Zips' pitching staff with 79 strikeouts in 14 starts over 85 innings of work.
In all divisions, the ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove winners will be announced on Wednesday, June 18 via social media by Rawlings Sporting Goods.
The ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove teams were first recognized in 2007 and are presented annually to the top defensive players from each division of collegiate and high school baseball.
