Hinchcliffe Named MAC Offensive Player of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio - University of Akron junior Sienna Hinchcliffe (Rochester, N.Y.) was honored by the Mid-American Conference as its Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday (April 14).

Hinchcliffe turned a stellar effort for the Zips registering a six-goal, four-assist and 10-point effort on the strength of a career-best 12 shots, including 10 on goal, in a 16-6 win at Robert Morris. It marked Akron's first-ever regular season triumph at Robert Morris. She also corralled a game-high three ground balls to go along with posting a pair of caused turnovers and draw controls.

She has now posted 10 or more shots and four goals or more in four straight games, including three consecutive league tilts. With her effort at Robert Morris, Hinchcliffe now owns the top two single-game goal marks in league play in the MAC with a 10-shot and four-goal performance at Robert Morris and a seven-goal and seven-assist outing against Detroit Mercy. She averages 5.2 goals and 10.2 shots per contest in five league games.
