Zips Set to Open the Golfweek/Stifel Spring Challenge

Pawleys Island, S.C. – The Akron Zips women's golf team is set to open the final regular season tournament at the Golfweek/Stifel Spring Challenge on Monday through Wednesday, April 6-8 at the Caledonia Golf & Fish Club in Pawleys Island, South Carolina.

The Course
All 54 holes will be played over three days at the Caledonia Golf & Fish Club (Par 71 • 6,054 yards)

The Field (19 Teams)
The three-day, 54-hole tournament showcases a 19-team field including Akron , Ball State, Charleston Southern, Coastal Carolina, Evansville, Fairleigh Dickinson, Jacksonville St., Marshall, Middle Tennessee, Missouri State, Morehead State, Ohio, Radford, Samford, Stephen F. Austin St., Stonehill College, UNC Asheville, Western Michigan and Winthrop.

Tournament Format
The tournament is scheduled for three 18-hole rounds each day on Monday through Wednesday, April 6-8 with tee times off holes No. 1 and 10.

The Zips scoring five consists of Maisarah Hezri (1), Sohniya Chandra Mohan (2), Kaitlin Kormuth (3), Hridhika Vora (4) and Emily Liptak (5).

The Zips starting five will open the tournament from hole No. 1 led by Emily Liptak at 7:45 a.m. followed by Hridhika Vora (7:55), Kaitlin Kormuth (8:05), Sohniya Chandra Mohan (8:15) and Maisarah Hezri (8:25).
