Pole Vault Headlines Akron's Performances at WVU Last Chance Meet

MORGANTOWN, W.VA. – The University of Akron track and field team continued its quest to garner NCAA East Preliminary Round qualifying marks on Saturday (May 9) as the Zips competed at the West Virginia Last Chance Meet.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Sophomore Garett Boe (Chesapeake, Va.) won the men's pole vault with a career-best clearance of 16-11 (5.16m).
• Freshman Amanda Rauch (Marietta, Ohio) eclipsed a career-best mark of 13-0.25 (3.97m) to triumph in the women's pole vault.

UP NEXT:
The Zips travel to Muncie, Ind., to compete at the Mid-American Conference Championships Thursday-Sunday (May 14-16).
