2021: Started 10 of the 11 games he appeared in for the Zips...directed Akron in tackles (80), solo tackles (39), assisted tackles (41), tackles for a loss (4.5) and sacks (1)...posted six of more tackles in nine games, including a season-best 11-tackle performance (five solo and six assists) versus Buffalo (Oct. 23)...opened the year with a seven-tackle effort at Auburn (Sept. 4)...collected nine tackles at Miami (Oct. 16) and Western Michigan (Nov. 9) as well as versus Ball State (Nov. 2)...tallied a season-best eight solo tackles to go along with a quarterback hurry at Western Michigan (Nov. 9)...netted eight tackles, two tackles for a loss and a half a sack in Akron’s win over Bryant (Sept. 18)...garnered an eight-tackle, one sack and one TFL effort in the Zips’ victory at Bowling Green (Oct. 9)...added three tackles at No. 10 Ohio State...ranked 14th in the Mid-American Conference in tackles per game (7.27) and 15th in league-only affairs (8.00).

PRIOR TO AKRON: A linebacker from Dublin, Ohio, was a four-year letterwinner at Dublin Coffman High School under head coach Mark Crabtree...came to Akron after being a three-year member of the football team at Michigan State where he played in 18 career games, mostly on special teams, making 18 tackles...in 2020 he appeared in seven contests, primarily on special teams, after playing in 11 games as a redshirt freshman in 2019, where he took 59 snaps on defense, recording 10 tackles...was ranked one of the top outside linebackers in Ohio by 247Sports (No. 5) and Rivals.com (No. 6). Rated as one of the top players in the state of Ohio by 247Sports (No. 22), Rivals.com (No. 31) and ESPN.com (No. 40), while being listed as one of the top outside linebackers in the nation by 247Sports (No. 37), Rivals (No. 49) and ESPN.com (No. 70)...helped lead Dublin Coffman to an 8-3 overall record, a conference title, and a berth in the Ohio Division 1 state playoffs...a first-team All-Ohio, All-Conference selection and second-team All-Central District honoree, he recorded 104 total tackles, including 19 tackles for loss with seven sacks, to go along with three fumble recoveries, two forced fumbles and four pass break-ups in his high school career...also played basketball.
