Women’s Swimming and Diving in CSCAA Top 25, Ready for Dual at Ohio

Ohio Dual Meet Live Stream
AKRON, Ohio – The December edition of the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Top 25 features the University of Akron women's swimming and diving team as the Zips gear-up for a dual meet at Ohio University.
In the final CSCAA Top 25 poll of 2020, Akron raked No. 25 with 43 points, falling one spot from its previous ranking in November. The Zips are behind No. 24 Northwestern (55) and No. 23 Southern California (57), whom both fell from the 19th and 18th positions, respectively.
The Akron swimming and diving squad will be back in action on Friday, Dec. 18 at the Ohio University Aquatics Center when the Zips and the Bobcats battle in a dual meet. The meet is slated to start at 3:30 p.m. ET and fans can follow the action via YouTube Live Stream.
The Zips have competed twice this season and have won both contests. Akron opened the season with a 204-96 victory at Eastern Michigan followed by a seventh consecutive Zippy Invitational Championship on Dec. 4-6. The Zips collected 1,953 points at the home event, defeating Buffalo 1,953-1,570.

The Top 25 rankings are voted on by CSCAA-member coaches and select media. Each committee includes nine representatives from the Power Five leagues, five at-large programs, and two media members. The women's and men's committee chairs are Naya Higashijima (SMU) and Bill Roberts (Navy).
