LEXINGTON, Ky. - The 10th-ranked University of Akron rifle team garnered a 4692-4647 triumph past No. 19 North Georgia on Sunday (Oct. 27).

In smallbore, redshirt seniors Gavin Perkowski (Bolivar, Ohio) and Erin Schnupp (Gorham, Maine) shared top-gun honors with identical 586 scores, with Perkowski equaling the school record for kneeling with a 199 mark.

Perkowski lead the team in the air rifle with a 593 total, while junior Rachael Paddock (Perry, N.Y.) set a new season-high mark of 591.Â

Akron returns to competition traveling to Memphis, Tenn., to battle the Tigers on Saturday (Nov. 9).
