AKRON, Ohio - The Akron baseball team gets set to host Pittsburgh at Canal Park on Tuesday, April 29.
Fans should park in the West Campus Parking Deck (286 S. Broadway St., Akron, OH 44308) for Tuesday's contest against the Panthers.

SCOUTING REPORT
Pittsburgh enters Tuesday's contest with a 20-21 overall record and an 8-13 record on the road.
The Panthers are coming off a 2-2 week that saw wins over Mercyhurst and No. 8 North Carolina. Against UNC, Pittsburgh went 1-2 with a 4-2 victory coming on Saturday.
It was Pitt's first win over a ranked opponent this season and their first since May 11th of last year when they took the series from No. 8 Florida State at home. Saturday's win marks the Panthers' first win over the Tar Heels since the ACC Tournament in 2021.Â
Ryan Reed dealt for seven innings as he helped Pitt even the series at a game apiece. Reed had one of his best starts of the season against the No. 8 team in the country. He struck out seven and allowed just two runs on four hits while only walking two batters over seven flawless innings.Â
Sebastian Pisacreta went 2-2 with his fifth home run of the season and two walks in his four plate appearances on Saturday. Luke Cantwell logged another multiple-hit game (2-4, RBI) and drove in a run in the fifth. Ryan Zuckerman followed suit, going 2-4 as well in game two.
Cantwell leads the Panthers in batting average (.359), hits (55), doubles (18) and walks (37). Zuckerman is the leader in home runs (10) and RBI (38). David Pedanou is the leader in stolen bases (12).
On the mound, Reed leads the staff in wins (4), innings pitched (57.2) and strikeouts (58). Ethan Firoved leads the staff with a 3.02 ERA in 18 appearances, a team-high seven saves and 41.2 innings of work and 57 strikeouts.

Akron comes into Tuesday with a 14-29 overall record and a 6-10 record at home.
The Zips are coming off a 2-3 week with wins over Cedarville and Kent State.
Andrew Horvath led the Zips the past week with a .421 batting average which featured eight hits, six RBI, five runs, two doubles, a triple, a home run and a stolen base.
Elijah Griffith threw five scoreless innings against Cedarville while Johnny Anservitz threw three innings against Kent State where he struck out four and picked up the win.
Horvath leads the Zips in batting average (.340) and doubles (13). Evan Bottone leads the way in hits (56) while Max Bowman and Blake Bowen share the lead for home runs (5). Jack Poist is the leader in RBI (29) and stolen bases (12).
On the mound, Anservitz leads the staff with a 3.72 ERA and a team-high three saves. Jack Kelley leads the staff in wins (3) while Jared Schaeffer is the leader in innings pitched (64.2) and strikeouts (56).
