SCOUTING REPORT
Miami enters the series with a 27-20 overall record, a 18-6 record in the MAC and a 13-6 record at home.
The RedHawks recently took down Eastern Kentucky 11-1 in eight innings on Tuesday. Five different RedHawks recorded multiple hits during the contest.
Dominic Krupinski went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI, Ty Batusich recorded three RBI and Hayden Cuthbertson let up no hits and no runs in 3.0 innings while recording five strikeouts.
Dillon Baker leads Miami in batting average (.354), hits (64) and doubles (20) while being one of five RedHawks to hit .300 or better. Ryan Novak is the leader in triples (4) while Evan Appelwick is the leader in home runs (14) and RBI (51).
On the mound, Carson Byers leads the staff with a 2.45 ERA in 17 appearances, 58.2 innings of work with a team-high four saves. Cooper Katskee is the leader in innings pitched (62.0) and shares the lead for strikeouts (55) with Byers.

Akron went 2-2 last week with a pair of wins over Ohio at Skeeles Field.
Jack Poist led the Zips in the series against the Bobcats with a .538 batting average, where he led the Zips with seven hits, four RBI, four runs, four stolen bases, two doubles, two walks and one home run. Evan Bottone hit .462 against Ohio with six hits, two RBI and one double. Ian Pennington and Austin Lafferty combined for 10 hits and eight RBI with each hitting above .400.
Jared Schaeffer dealt eight innings in his start on Sunday where he allowed just one run on four hits while striking out two. Jack Fenton threw 5.2 innings of scoreless relief on Friday where he struck out five to help the Zips record a comeback victory to begin the series.
Andrew Horvath leads the Zips in batting average (.337) and doubles (14). Bottone is the leader in hits (62) while Max Bowman and Blake Bowen share the lead for home runs (5). Jack Poist is the leader in RBI (33) and stolen bases (16).
On the mound, Johnny Anservitz leads the staff in ERA (3.48) in 17 appearances, 20.2 innings of work, while leading the Zips in saves (4). Jared Schaeffer is the leader in innings pitched (72.2) and strikeouts (58).
