Women's Soccer Takes on Ball State and Seeks Third Consecutive Win

AKRON, Ohio — The Akron women's soccer team will take on Ball State on Sunday, October 4 at 1 p.m. from FirstEnergy Stadium. It is also Youth Day, where posters of the women's soccer team will be given away and a postgame autograph session will take place.
The Zips (6-4-1) are coming off major victories over Ohio and Toledo, while their win over the Rockets was just their second road win at Toledo in program history. Taylor Allen notched the game-winner against Toledo, and Jordanne Oberhaus did the same against Ohio. Akron is attempting to win three in a row for the first time since 2019.
Rachel Wenzel leads the Zips with five goals on the year, while Ball State's (3-5-3) Kaelyn Valleau and Anna Kate Robillard have each scored two goals. BSU is coming off a 1-0 loss to Eastern Michigan and has not won since September 6 against Eastern Illinois.
The Cardinals lead the all-time series, 17-2-6, while winning 3-0 in last season's matchup.
