On the mound, Brady Bowen leads the staff with a 3-3 record in 14 appearances and FOUR starts through 47.0 innings of work with a 3.62 ERA, a 1.19 WHIP and a .245 average against. Floyd McKenna leads the way in appearances (20) and saves (6). Elijah Griffith holds the top mark in innings pitched (65.2) and strikeouts (47).
As a team, Akron is hitting .279 with 319 runs scored on 437 hits. The Zips have 279 RBI, 91 doubles, six triples and 43 home runs. The Zips are 114-of-137 on stolen bases this season. The Blue and Gold's pitching staff has allowed 383 runs, 325 earned, while striking out 334 and walking 286.Â

The Chippewas enter the series with a 20-27 overall record, a 9-18 record in the MAC and a 10-8 record at home.
CMU went 0-3 last week against Northern Illinois, falling 12-1, 10-5 and 8-2, while defeating Oakland 6-4 on Tuesday.
Drew Loikits leads CMU in average (.319). Harrison Bowman leads the way in hits (53), doubles (14) and shares the lead in RBI with Cole Prout (47). Zach Knowlton leads the squad in triples (3) while Prout is the leader in walks (36).
Hayden Bailey holds a 5.34 ERA in 14 appearances and 13 starts, throwing a team-high 57.1 innings. Luke Neiswonger leads the staff with 47 strikeouts, while Jared Hanson has 18 appearances.
As a team, CMU is hitting .285 with 352 runs scored on 464 hits. The Chippewas have 326 RBI, 98 doubles, 13 triples and 50 home runs. CMU is 83-of-104 on stolen bases this season. Central Michigan's pitching staff has allowed 357 runs, 316 earned, while striking out 329 and walking 260.Â
