Women’s Golf Opens 2026-27 Season at Youngstown State’s Roseanne Schwartz Invitational

Hermitage, PA. – The Akron Zips women's golf team will open the 2026 season on Monday, August 31 at Avalon at Buhl Park golf course for the Roseann Schwartz Invitational hosted by Youngstown State.
The Course
All 36-holes will be played at Avalon at Buhl Park in Hermitage, Pennsylvania (Par 70 • 5,901 yards)
The Field (10 Teams)
The 36-hole tournament features a 10-team field including, Youngstown State (host), Akron, Bowling Green, Chicago State, Dayton, Eastern Illinois, IU Indianapolis, Le Moyne, Maryland Eastern Shore, Mercyhurst and Ohio State.
Tournament Format
The one-day event will feature a pair of 18-hole rounds, 36 continuous holes of competition with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.

The Zips scoring five consists of Kaitlin Kormuth (1), Kirida Na Songkhla (2), Amara Montoya (3), Sohniya Chandra Mohan (4) and Thitirat Silakham (5), while Katrin Horn Danielsdottirwill compete as an individual. Monday's shotgun start begins at 8:30 a.m. with Kormuth (7), Na Songkhla (8B), Montoya (8A), Chandra Mohan (9), Silakham (10B) and Danielsdottir (6).
