AKRON, Ohio — The Akron women's soccer team will host Bowling Green on Senior Day at FirstEnergy Stadium. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. on Sunday, September 20, and Senior Day festivities will start at noon.
Four seniors — Olivia Heskett, Jordanne Oberhaus, Sara Bower and Rachel Wenzel — are set to be honored before the match.
The Zips enter the contest with a 4-4 record and dropped their MAC opener in Oxford against Miami, 2-1. An own goal in the 56th minute proved to be the costly blow for Akron after taking a 1-0 lead six minutes in courtesy of a Wenzel goal.
Akron returns home for the first time since September 3, when they defeated Cleveland State, 2-0.
BGSU (4-1-2) has won two of their last three matches and are coming off a scoreless draw against Eastern Michigan. The Falcons are unbeaten in their last 11 road matches (6-0-5) and have not lost a true road match since November 3, 2024. Bowling Green leads the all-time series, 17-6-2, and are unbeaten in the last seven matches against the Zips.
