Akron, Ohio – The Akron Zips defeated Kent State to open Mid-American Conference play and look to finish the week 2-0 as they play host to the Toledo Rockets on Friday, Sept. 25 at 6 p.m. Akron is 3-1 in their last four matches, defeating Kent State (3-0), Youngstown State (3-1) and Cleveland State before falling to Xavier (3-1).
