Allan Hoon

Allan Hoon began working at The University of Akron in 2005 as the coordinator of the Stile Athletics Field House. He was then promoted to manager in 2007. In 2015, he was named the director of facilities and in 2021 before being elevated to assistant athletics director for facilities, events and operations.

Hoon oversees game management for football, volleyball, indoor and outdoor track and field and baseball as well as overseeing the full-time staff that manages the other Zips' Sports. He directs the everyday logistical scheduling, planning, programming, for the department of athletics facilities as well as campus groups and non-university rentals.

While at Akron, Hoon has directed multiple NCAA and conference championships.

A 2003 graduate of The University of Akron with a bachelor’s degree in sport studies, Hoon earned his master’s degree from Kent State in 2005.

Allan and his wife Jaime, reside in Northfield Center. They have three children: Ella, Mason, and Collin.
