AKRON, Ohio - The 10th-ranked University of Akron rifle team posted a 4705-4222 triumph past John Jay College on Saturday (Oct. 19) at the Robert A. Pinn Shooting Range.

In smallbore, redshirt senior Erin Schnupp (Gorham, Maine) took top-gun honors with a 588 score, while redshirt senior Gavin Perkowski (Bolivar, Ohio) added a 585 mark.

Perkowski tied his season-high air rifle score of 597 to lead all competitors, while setting a season-high air at 592 and a career-high aggregrate of 1180 was Schnupp.

Junior Rachael Paddock (Perry, N.Y.) established a season-high air rifle score of 590 and equaled her career-best aggregrate record of 1172.

Akron returns to competition traveling to Lexington, Ky., to battle No. 19 North Georgia in a 9 a.m. match on Sunday (Oct. 27).
