AKRON, Ohio - The 13th-rated University of Akron was bested by No. 10 Memphis, 4732-4686, at the Robert A. Pinn Shooting Range on Sunday (Oct. 12).

Senior Natalia Siek (Flemington, N.J.) climbed to the top of the smallbore leaderboard with a 588 total. Freshman Matthew Kimball (Pineville, La.) was also in the mix by posting a career-best 586. Rounding out the top four smallbore for Akron was senior Joey Hahn (Middle Grove, N.Y.) and junior Logan McClimans (Jamestown, Pa.) and 581 and 580 scores, respectively.

Hahn fired a career-high 594 in air rifle to lead the Zips. Right on his heels was Siek with a 592 total.

Akron returns to competition traveling to Fort Wayne, Ind., to battle No. 17 Morehead State on Oct. 25.
