FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The 16th-rated University of Akron recorded a season-best score en route to registering a 4709-4677 triumph past No. 17 Morehead State on Saturday (Oct. 25).

In the smallbore division, Akron dominated the leaderboard capturing the top four positions with senior Rachael Paddock (Perry, N.Y.) firing a career-high 591. Freshmen Matthew Kimball (Pineville, La.) and Kiersten Allen (Somerset, Pa.) rounded out the top three slots for Akron with 586 and 584 marks.

Kimball recorded career-best score in the air rifle with a 597. Paddock and senior Natalia Siek (Flemington, N.J.) rounded out the top three performers for the Akron squad in air rifle with identical scores of 592.

Akron returns to competition traveling to Lexington, Va., to battle VMI and No. 20 UAB on Saturday (Nov. 1).
