COLUMBUS, Ohio - The 17th-rated University of Akron rifle squad earned victories past No. 10 Murray State (4701-4693), No. 12 UTEP (4701-4691) and No. 14 Ohio State (4701-4680) on Saturday (Nov. 8).

Senior Natalia Siek (Flemington, N.J.) broke the school smallbore record with her 594-40x mark, which earned her top-gun honors at this match. Fellow Akron senior Rachael Paddock (Perry, N.Y.) finished in second place with her impressive 586. In attaining this remarkable score, she listed a pair of perfect 100's while in the prone position.

With her air rifle, Siek accumulated a team- and career-best score of 596. Siek chalked up one more record called the individual aggregrate record as her 1190 points accumulated smashed the old record by five points.

Akron returns to competition traveling to Annapolis, Md., to battle No. 3 Navy on Saturday (Nov. 15).
