SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- The Akron softball team was limited to one hit as junior Meagan Lee delivered the Zips lone hit in a 11-0 setback to Omaha on Saturday.
Freshman Maddelynn Lee (2-2) started and took the loss in the circle for Akron (8-5).
Sophomore Maddia Groff, sophomore Bree Urban and junior Alexis Wiggins combined to toss a shutout on Saturday as the Omaha Mavericks blanked the Akron Zips 11-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Akron didn't managed to advance a runner past first base in the ballgame.
GAME NOTES
» Akron pitchers faced 28 Omaha hitters in the game, allowing three ground balls and five fly balls while striking out four.
» Junior Meagan Lee led the Zips at the plate, going 1-for-2.
