Zips Open Five-Game #MACtion Road Swing at Northern Illinois

AKRON, Ohio – The Akron Zips are set for the final road swing of Mid-American Conference play when they visit Northern Illinois (Friday and Saturday, April 25-26, and then off to Buffalo on Tuesday, April 29 for a doubleheader.
WHAT'S AHEAD
Akron is set to battle the Huskies in a single game on Friday, April 25 at 4 p.m. at Mary M. Bell Field followed by a doubleheader on Saturday, April 26 at 2 and 4 p.m. to decide the series.

The Zips have three players batting above .300 as Meagan Lee (.392) leads the way. Lee owns a team-best 56 hits in 143 at bats with 2 triples, 4 doubles, 13 RBI and 28 runs scored. Sophia Wygast (.350) follows with 43 hits, and team-highs in homeruns (6) and RBI (31). Brooke Sivek (.324) rounds out the top hitters with 45 hits and a team-high 31 runs scored, while Alexis Campbell (.298) and Lily Sullivan (.297) are just below the .300 mark.
