AKRON, Ohio -Â The 15th-rated University of Akron rifle team travels to Cambridge, Mass., for a noon showdown with MIT and Norwich on Saturday (Feb. 7) before battling the Engineers of MIT on Sunday (Feb. 8) at 8 a.m. in Reading, Mass.
Senior Natalia Siek (Flemington, N.J.) maintains team-high averages of 1178.18, 587.09 and 591.09, respectively, in the combined, smallbore and air rifles.
Scheduled to compete for the Zips are redshirt senior Joey Hahn (Middle Grove, N.Y.), seniors Rachael Paddock (Perry, N.Y.) and Siek, juniors Diane Heschel (Oak Harbor, Ohio), Logan McClimans (Jamestown, Pa.) and Kaleb Santiso (Ridgway, Pa.), and freshmen Matthew Kimball (Pineville, La.) and Kathleen Moran (Buffalo, N.Y.).
After Saturday's match, Akron will host No. 16 Army on Saturday (Feb. 14) in an 8:00 a.m. tilt on Senior Day at the Robert A. Pinn Shooting Range.
