Schebler's Grand Slam Not Enough in Loss to Bowling Green

AKRON, Ohio - Charlie Schebler racked up four RBI on a grand lam in the seventh inning, but the Akron Zips fell to the Bowling Green Falcons 6-4 on Sunday.
Schebler went 1-for-4 with a home run in addition to his four RBIs for the Zips. Andrew Horvath furnished a noteworthy effort as well, going 2-for-4 with a double. Caden Matlon also contributed for Akron, putting together one hit in two trips to the plate while adding a double and a walk.
Taylor Bednar (1-1) started and took the loss on the mound for Akron (6-13, 0-6). Johnny Anservitz was a bright spot out of the bullpen, going one shutout inning while allowing one hit, walking none and striking out one.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Zips were trailing 6-0 in the seventh inning when they first put runs on the board. Akron got a grand slam from Schebler off of Turner, scoring all four of their runs in the inning. The Zips were unable to get any closer, as neither team scored again in the ballgame.
