AKRON, Ohio – Akron softball is back in #MACtion play on the road against the Toledo Rockets in Toledo, Ohio on Friday and Saturday, March 28-29.
WHAT'S AHEAD
Akron and Toledo will open the three-game series on Friday at 3 p.m. followed by a doubleheader on Saturday at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Under third-year head coach Craig Nicholson Akron is 14-16 overall in its 49th season of intercollegiate competition. The Zips return 18 players from the 2024 squad and added seven newcomers to the 2025 roster.
The Zips have five players batting above .300 as Meagan Lee leads the way with a .370 batting average. Lee owns a team-best 37 hits in 100 at bats with two triples, two doubles and seven RBI. Alexis Campbell follows with a.341 average, batting 31-for-91 with two homeruns, a triple and three doubles, generating a team-high 21 RBI. Brooke Sivek is third in average at .323 with 31 hits, including a triple, homerun and six RBI. The final two players batting above .300 are Sophia Wygast (.315) and Sydney Selker (.305).
