Akron Falls to Toledo

TOLEDO, Ohio --Akron was on the wrong side of a dominant pitching performance Friday as senior Kylee Graham tossed a no-hitter for Toledo, leading the Rockets past the Zips 8-0.
Sophomore Madie Jamrog (6-4) started and took the loss in the circle for Akron (14-17, 1-5).
HOW IT HAPPENED
Akron did not advance a runner past second base in the game. The Zips went 0-for-4 with runners in scoring position, last placing a runner as far as second in the fourth, when sophomore Hailee Sanchez made it into scoring position with nobody out.
GAME NOTES
» Akron pitchers faced 23 Toledo hitters in the game, allowing one ground balls and 12 fly balls.
UP NEXT
Akron and Toledo are scheduled to play a doubleheader on Saturday, March 29 at 1 and 3 P.m. at Scott Park.
